Kim is passionate about bodywork, self-care, the arts and healing. After being raised in a strong family heritage of chiropractic and medical care, Kim took a different route and studied music, theater and literature at Texas Christian University and the Institute of European studies, living in Vienna and London. From there she began a mission of music and healing that has taken her to Northern Ireland, Mozambique, Kenya, Romania and landed in the high desert of Santa Fe, NM, where she settled in for several years and came full circle to study bodywork at the Santa Fe School of Massage.
One of her strengths as a therapist is being able to combine a highly therapeutic and problem solving approach to bodywork with the beauty and flowing quality of Hawaiian forearm techniques, bringing more fluid and artistic elements to the deep tissue and Swedish work. The result is an effective, deep, flowing massage that soothes mind and body and leaves you feeling deeply relaxed, but also grounded and energized at the same time.
In addition to this work, Kim offers a more subtle body work that focuses on healing touch and energy flow, leaving room for clients to “sink in” to a deeper connection to core. In this work, she has been honored to work with her clients to create a safe environment that allows stress relief, emotional transformation, as well as a greater sense of balance and well-being in the body. This work is normally done while the client is fully clothed but can also be combined with the traditional oil and lotion massage at request. This work can also be very therapeutic for people dealing with MS, fibromyalgia, and many stress-related issues in the body.Kim highly values results, safety, presence, creativity and individual attention for each of her clients.
