Change Your Movement Patterns and Change your Life

Kate Wodash Catlow

Kate grew up in Minnesota in a family of seven children. Never a dull moment! She got drawn into the world of competitive swimming at an early age and swam for 11 years. She swam for the University of WI, Stevens Point, and graduated in 1981, with a BS in Biology. Having grown up in the competitive world of no pain no gain, she learned to push her body beyond its limits and gained a repetitive movement injury to her neck and shoulders. Years of chronic pain led her to search for relief through chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage therapy and other modalities it all worked but for a limited time. It wasn’t until she was introduced to Pilates in 1993, that the real healing began. Pilates gave her the awareness and the tools to change her movement patterns, which then changed her life. She feels that she is in better shape now going into her 50’s than she was in her 20’s.

Kate has now been teaching for over 10 years. She has a talent for recognizing movement patterns in others that do not serve them and facilitates their awareness of it. Kate excels at helping athletes incorporate the Pilates principles of sound bio mechanics into their current sport. One cannot change what one is not aware of! Pilates is just one of the tools she uses to help her clients. She is also trained in the resistance stretching modality that many Olympic athletes are using to stay in their game longer. Kate is also available to support you as a life style coach. Kate is a passionate and compassionate teacher who will assist you along your journey of body and self awareness. Kate opened her first Pilates studio in 2004, and is thrilled and honored to be expanding into the larger Mindful Body Center with many more tools to offer her clients!
