Jayne’s first career was as a dancer. She grew up south of Boston, training at a local ballet studio and at the school of Boston Ballet. When Jayne was 16 she compound fractured her left leg and was told she might never dance again. During a physical therapy session, she was introduced Pilates. Through a consistent Pilates program and physical therapy, Jayne regained strength and range of motion in her leg and returned to dancing. She’s been practicing Pilates ever since.
After high school, Jayne moved to NYC to continue her dance training. Her career eventually took her to Las Vegas where she performed in shows including Siegfried & Roy and Follies Bergere for 10 years. After retiring from dance, Jayne began working behind the scenes as a show and event producer. She was the Production Manager for Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance, collaborated with colleagues to form a nonprofit contemporary dance company and traveled around the world producing special events for various corporate clients.
Jayne completed her Pilates certification through The Pilates Studio in Las Vegas under the direction of Master Trainer Gracie Martinez. In addition to Pilates Jayne practices Bikram yoga, is a swimmer, biker and occasional triathlete. She loves the awareness of the physical body that the Pilates method teaches and finds it brings an inner peace to her own life. As a teacher and trainer she works with clients of all ages and physical strengths to personalize a program that will enrich and center their everyday lives.
