Christin Davis, Certified Pilates Instructor
Christin first
encountered Pilates as part of her acting training in graduate school.
She completed her Mat and Apparatus certifications with Kelly Kane at
The Kane School of Core Integration in New York City, a training program
that focuses on anatomy, biomechanics and the use of touch to help
clients make changes in their bodies.
Christinʼs teaching is influenced by her work in Alexander
Technique, Middendorf Breathwork, and improvisational movement.
Christin places a large emphasis on breath, presence and quality of
movement. Working with Christin, you will understand how and why you
are moving, from the inside out.
Christin loves working with all kinds of people, especially those
who are exploring Pilates as a way to feel better in their bodies. She
has experience helping clients through issues such as back pain, pelvic
pain, sciatica, shoulder tension and osteoporosis. She also loves
working with clients who are new to movement or exercise.
Christin holds a MFA in Acting from American Conservatory Theater
and a BA in English from Rice University. She is an actress, a native
Texas and a big fan of books.
